Hi there, and welcome to The Clayton Chronicles! My name is Brittney Clayton, and I’m a stay-at-home mom to four amazing kids, aged 4 to 7. Life with my Clayton Crew is wonderfully chaotic, filled with laughter, learning, and a fair share of snack breaks! This blog is my way of sharing our journey as we embark on homeschooling, intentional adventures, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising four little explorers.

Why I Started This Blog

With a background in education, I’ve always loved creating opportunities for my children to learn, even before they started school. Back then, our days were filled with structured learning—reading stories, doing art projects, gathering for circle time, and exploring the outdoors together. Those moments were some of my favorites, and they planted the seed for what would eventually become our homeschool journey.

Over the years, my kids often asked if we could homeschool, and while my husband and I knew the decision ultimately rested with us, their eagerness to learn at home played a big role in our choice to say “yes” and give it a go. We also wanted to explore all the options available to us as a family, and this year felt like the perfect time to take that leap of faith.

Beyond homeschooling, life with four small children is always an adventure! This blog is meant to be a place to share the moments we’re creating as a family, both inside and outside the classroom. I’ll share tips, resources, and tools that I’ve personally found helpful along the way. Whether it’s a curriculum that worked wonders for us or a simple activity that made our day a little more fun, my hope is that these ideas bring more ease and joy to your family days.

This blog is my way of documenting the highlights, the hard times, and everything in between as we navigate this journey together. Homeschooling and parenting are beautiful, messy, and challenging adventures, and I know I’m not alone in the ups and downs. Creating a community of support and love for fellow families means so much to me, and I hope this space becomes a resource and encouragement for anyone walking a similar path.
